Bathroom Cleaning Tips
Cleaning up your bathroom all on your own can seem like quite a challenging task, especially if you’re aware of any tips or tricks to help you out. The key to bathroom cleaning isn’t buying the latest products or going through some overly complicated routine to accomplish a simple task.
Here are some professional cleaning tips for your bathroom cleaning!
Tip #1: Solution for grime
Sometimes, a regular scrub doesn’t work for grime. For your solution, mix three tablespoons of baking soda with half a cup of ammonia. Add that to two cups of warm water, and you have your miracle solution. Locate any grime within your bathroom, and apply your solution to it.
Let it sit for a couple of minutes, and then rinse it off with an old rag.
Tip #2: Getting rid of mildew
Because shower curtains are almost always moist, the ends of the curtain tend to get dirtier than the rest of the curtain. For regular cleaning, soak the ends in saltwater.
However, if you spot any mildew, create a solution of two cups of water and a half-cup each of borax and white vinegar. Pour the solution over the affected areas and let it sit.
After fifteen minutes, scrub it with a sponge, and you’ll be left with gleaming curtains!
Tip #3: Cleaning your toilet
Cleaning up your toilet may not seem like the most appealing task out of all the other chores you might have lined up, but there is no doubt that it is an essential one. One way you can clean it up with minimal effort is to drop a couple of antacid tablets into the toilet.
Let them dissolve before scrubbing with a toilet brush. Alternatively, you can use a small bottle or a can of cola as well.
Let it sit for about an hour and then scrub.
Tip #4: Scrubbing the tiles
If the solution for the grime is not having much of an effect, that means you need a stronger solution for cleaning up your tiles. In this case, create a solution of two parts of baking soda, one part of borax, and add both to two parts of water.
Mix them thoroughly, and apply to the affected area. After letting it sit for a couple of minutes, scrub it away – for the smaller crevices, use a toothbrush to get rid of all the grout.
Tip #5: For a spotless mirror
Because of the moist environment of the bathroom, your bathroom mirror likely has a ton of water sports that you simply can’t seem to get rid of. For a spotless mirror, soak a large piece of newspaper completely in water – make sure it is completely saturated.
Use it to wipe all over the mirror. Then immediately after, use a completely dry newspaper to wipe it clean.
